"I'm so emotional now. She's a superstar. When I was young, I was watching her so many times on the TV. For my first Wimbledon it's wow — just wow."
-- Harmony Tan.
"I feel it's stupid when someone says sport is out of politics. It's really stupid."

"I don't think it's that extreme. I don't need a metal hip yet."
-- Britain's Katie Swan when asked if she had sought Andy Murray's advice on the best treatment for her hip problem.
"Have you ever gone into a supermarket and just started berating someone scanning the groceries? No. So why do they do it when I'm at Wimbledon? Why is that?"
-- Nick Kyrgios on the abuse he receives from fans.
"Honestly I didn't even know that people were testing positive until I saw another player wearing a mask upstairs."
-- Coco Gauff after Matteo Barrettini joined Marin Cilic in pulling out of Wimbledon after testing positive for Covid
"I saw Frances (Tiafoe) practicing with him. We all know Frances likes to joke and everything. But we made a joke. We were like, Frances, you didn't crack one joke in today's practice. He is like, Nah, I don't do it with Rafa. It's, like, the guy brings another level to the game. That's what I admire the most."
-- Gauff on the widespread respect for Rafael Nadal.
"I wouldn't say it's a golden age or anything."
-- Britain's Jack Draper after a host of home players reached the second round of the men's singles on Tuesday.
"I can have a party on my own."
-- Britain's Dan Evans on his defeat on a day when compatriots Liam Broady, Jack Draper, Ryan Peniston and Alastair Gray all made the second round.
"At the end of the day if you have got a bit of a cold, you play main draw of Wimbledon for £50,000 and a chance at more, I'm not sure some of the lower-ranked guys are going to Scout's honour take themselves away and do a COVID test."
